Exercise III

I totally agree with this statement. Outside of the United States, women wheteher married or single are traerted like second-class citizens (thats if they are lucky!).

Genetelia multilation is common in parts of Africa, women found or thought to be found in adulterous relationship are stoned in parts of Asia, the Midddle East, India and Africa. Throwing acid in the face of a woman that has rejected sexual advances is prevalent in parts of South America. Many women that are raped in South-East Asia cannot report the crime to the authorities in fear that they themselves (if married) face adultery charges. Even in the "Holy Bible" women were brought from thier fathers for a mere 80 shekels, told to keep quiet, be obedient and they cannot usurp authority over a man.

So far these and countless other reasons I am in total agreement with the opening statement made in that exercise.
