Exercise II

This article was about the change in attitude towards extramarital sex. Some experts are taking the stance that these affairs can prove healthy towards the marraige.

Ths article perfectly illustrates what the "pre-test" exercise was talking about; how society has become more and more tolerant to deviant sexual behavior and a steady decline in morality. What is worse yet is that they seemed to be pushing on us that these actions that are now acceptable and if we want to be cool or fit in we should abide by them.

It seems to me that these so called "experts" were merely looking for reasoning to justify thier obvious failures in commitment and fidelity. I feel if one is not capable of these two "instituted by God" vows then why get married at all? They should just stay single all thier lives; live in sexual promiscuity and for the love of God I hope they use protection!

It amazed me how the word "possessiveness" was thrown around to apparently "demonize" the institution of marraige and replace such words such as loyalty, honesty and unconditional love.

The phrase " a chance to experiment with forms of love-making that they regarded as improper in the context of marraige"; once again reminded me of the previous exercise which spoke of sexual deviance.
